Services

Six areas of audiovisual work, from studio design to crews on the day of the show, run from our base in Taunton.

What we do

Studio, stage and show-day services

  • Broadcast studio design

We draw up the layout, acoustic treatment and cabling routes for television and streaming studios, working alongside your production team so the room suits the way you make programmes.

  • Camera control systems

We install and configure camera robotics, vision mixers and remote control panels, then set them up so operators can run a multi-camera show from one position without guesswork.

  • Stage and studio lighting

Lighting plots, rigging and programming for studio sets, concerts and festival stages. Plans balance the look you want with rigging that is safe and practical to build and strike.

  • Live sound engineering

Front-of-house and monitor mixing, system tuning and signal routing for live events. We tune the system to the venue or field in front of us and keep the routing clear.

  • Event production crews

Experienced technicians for festivals, corporate parties and live broadcasts, covering the work from load-in to wrap. Crews are sized to the show and briefed before they arrive.

  • Workflow consulting

We review signal flow, file handling and show-day procedures with your studio team, looking for the steps that cause delays and suggesting changes that fit how you already work.

How it works

From first enquiry to a finished job

Every project starts with a conversation, not a catalogue. We find out what you are making or staging, look at the space or the running order, and agree in writing what we will do before any work is scheduled. The steps below are the same whether the job is a studio or a single event.

  1. Enquiry through the contact page

You send us a short description of the studio, event or workflow problem, with the venue, rough dates and any equipment already in place. We read it and reply to arrange a call or a site visit.

  2. Discussion and site visit

We talk through what you need with the people who will use the result. Where it helps, we visit the studio or venue to see the room, power, access and existing cabling for ourselves.

  3. Written quotation

We set out the work, what is included, what is not, and the cost, in a written quotation. You can ask questions or change the scope before anything is confirmed.

  4. Confirmation and planning

Once you confirm in writing, we plan the work with your team: drawings, lighting plots, crew lists or a procedure review, depending on the service. Access and timings are agreed with you.

  5. Delivery, handover and invoice

We carry out the installation, event support or review, and walk your team through the result. An invoice follows, payable by bank transfer, under our payment and refund policy.

What helps us plan your job
Before we start

What helps us plan your job

A little information at the start saves time later. None of this has to be perfect in the first message, and we will ask for what is missing. These are the details we find most useful.

  • Venue or studio address and how vehicles reach it
  • Dates, load-in time and the expected show length
  • A rough running order or programme format
  • Existing equipment you want to keep using
  • Power supply, rigging points and ceiling heights
  • Number of cameras, microphones or performers
  • The person who can make decisions on the day

Questions we are often asked

These answers cover how we usually work and what to expect from the costs. If your question is not here, send it through the contact page and we will answer it directly.

  1. Can you work with the equipment we already own?

Yes, in most cases. We start by listing what you have and what condition it is in, then say honestly what can stay, what needs adjusting and what is better replaced. We do not ask you to replace working equipment for the sake of it, and any change is set out in the quotation first.

  2. Do you only work in Taunton?

We are based in Taunton and much of our work is in the South West, but we also travel for studios and events elsewhere in the UK. Travel and any overnight stay are discussed when we quote, so they appear in the written figures rather than arriving later as a surprise.

  3. Can I book just a sound engineer or just lighting?

Yes. Each service stands on its own, and many clients ask for one only, such as live sound for a single stage. If the event later needs more, we can discuss adding it, but nothing is bundled together unless it suits the job.

  4. How do you charge for services?

Costs depend on the service, the size of the job and how many people are needed. We give a written quotation that says what is included and what would change the figure. The prices page explains the usual ranges and how ordering and payment work.

  5. How do I pay?

Nothing is paid through this site. After you accept a quotation and we confirm in writing, we send an invoice, which you pay by bank transfer. Cancellations and refunds follow our payment and refund policy, which you can read before you confirm anything.

  6. What if our plans change after we confirm?

Tell us as early as you can. Small changes to times or numbers are usually easy to absorb. Larger changes may alter the crew, equipment or cost, and we will explain this in writing before going ahead. Cancellations are covered by the payment and refund policy.

  7. Do you provide the crew and the equipment?

It depends on the service. For design, installation and consulting we mainly provide expertise and work. For live events we can supply technicians and, where agreed, equipment. The quotation lists exactly what we bring and what the venue or you provide.

  8. How far ahead should we get in touch?

As early as you reasonably can, particularly for festivals and studio fit-outs, where planning, access and site visits take time. For smaller jobs a shorter notice may work. Send an enquiry and we will tell you honestly what is possible.
