On this page entertavi explains which information reaches us when you open entertavi.com or write to us, what we do with it, how long it stays with us and whom you can ask about it.

Controller and scope of this policy

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is entertavi, 14 Wood Street Mews, Taunton TA1 1UN, United Kingdom. You can reach us by email at hello@entertavi.com or by phone at 01823 440217. The policy covers the pages published under entertavi.com and the enquiries we receive through them.

Data security

We protect the information in our care with suitable technical and practical measures against loss, misuse and access by anyone without permission. Data you send through the site travels in encrypted form wherever the browser allows it.

No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so we cannot exclude every risk. Within our company, access to the messages we receive is limited to the people who answer them.

Third parties and transfers

We do not sell personal data. It is shared only with the providers who host this website and handle our email, acting on our instructions under a data processing agreement, and with authorities where the law obliges us.

Data may be handled by a provider whose servers or support staff are located abroad. We choose providers who commit to protecting it at the level the applicable rules demand for transfers of this kind.

Why we process data

The processing serves the operation and security of entertavi.com, the handling of the requests you send us, the preparation of offers and the fulfilment of duties that arise from a contract or from the law.

Where the law requires a legal ground, we rely on your consent, on a contract or the steps preceding it, on an obligation imposed on us, or on our legitimate interest in operating this site safely. Providing data is voluntary, but an enquiry without contact details cannot be answered.

Cookies and similar technologies

This website keeps stored entries to a minimum. It does not use advertising cookies, it does not follow visitors across other sites, and an answer you give to a cookie notice stays in your own browser.

You can see which entries this website has stored, delete them and refuse new ones at any time in the settings of your browser. Blocking storage that the pages need may mean that parts of the site no longer work.

Which data we process

Visiting the website creates server log entries: IP address, time of access, requested file, transferred data volume, browser and operating system. We use these entries only to operate the site safely, to keep it available and to investigate technical errors.

When you send us a message, we keep what you give us, such as your name, the address for our reply, a telephone number if you add one and the text itself, for as long as the matter you wrote about is being dealt with.

How long we keep data

We keep personal data only for as long as the purpose it was collected for requires, or longer where record-keeping duties apply. After that it is deleted or changed so that it no longer points to a person.

Server logs are held by our hosting provider for a short period and are then removed automatically. Correspondence stays with us while the matter is open and for a reasonable time afterwards, in case you come back to the same question.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing, to object to processing based on legitimate interests and to receive your data in a portable format. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, a message to hello@entertavi.com is enough. To be sure that we are dealing with the right person, we may ask you to confirm your identity; our answer follows within the statutory period and is free of charge.

If you believe that we handle your data unlawfully, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), in addition to any other remedy.
